Granutec’ s large throat, low RPM Granulators are ideally suited for extrusion, blow molding, injection molding and recycling. These systems are designed with all that it takes to process the biggest, bulkiest plastic waste such as cold gas tanks, refrigerator door liners, panels, barrels and more. Our Large throat granulators such as our Models TFG3636 and TFG3648 are designed for high performance and easy on line servicing and maintenance.
Performance Features and Benefits
Standard features include power assisted soundproofed hopper and swing down screen cradle to provide complete access to the cutting chamber knives and lift out screens. Screens are reversible and provide maximum open area (1552 Sq in. for Model TFG3636 1908 Sq. in for Model TFG3648) to achieve maximum through put rates. Heavy duty construction features welded steel rotor, cutting chamber and screen cradle to withstand wear and shock loads.
Rugged pillow block bearings are mounted outboard to eliminate contamination by plastic materials. The screen cradle and hopper is electrically/mechanically interlocked for safety.
Optional Features
Optional, sophisticated conveyor systems and a state of the metal detection device which will stop the conveyor and turn on an alarm allowing the operator to reverse the conveyor belt and remove the contaminate ( either manually or automatically). To extend cutting chamber life, we offer removable wear plates. These wear plates can be changed an indefinite amount of times to increase your granulators length of service. Picture here is a wear plate cutting chamber removable wear plate. Also, carbide coatings provide more durable surfaces and longer wear on other granulator components such as, cutting chamber, rotor and screen cradle. A sound saver package with includes a sound proofed cutting chamber cabinet. Water cooling for the cutting chamber, rotor shaft and rotary union for processing high temperature materials. An Auxiliary flywheel or dual drive capabilities. Heavy duty blowers and cyclones are available in aluminum and carbon steel. Blowers are available with a hinged cleanout door, which is mechanically and electrically interlocked for safety. Options include wear plates and hardened fan impellers for abrasive applications.
